BATTLING TERRORISM- 6 DATA MINING SITES

     Internet searching and Data Mining are key features in many homeland security initiatives. It is used to detect 
fraud, assess risks, and for accumulating an information base on terrorist groups. Basically, data mining uses data analysis tools to discover previously unknown, valid patterns and relationships in large data sets.
     Homeland security professionals data mine to identify terrorist activities, such as money transfers and communications, and to identify and track individual terrorists operating alone through travel and immigration records. Here are some useful Internet sites to add to your Data Mining and OSINT research resource list:
