Using her well-crafted cover story and charm, she impresses the senator and gains his trust, becoming an integral part of his team. Little does he know that Sonia's true allegiance lies with the counterintelligence team led by CIA spymaster Corey Pearson.

     Meanwhile, back at Langley's CIA headquarters, Frank Kimble, the CIA Deputy Director, communicates with Morrison, who is coordinating operations from a safe house in Key West. They discuss the progress of their covert operatives, Sonia and Rick Ruemley, who are tasked with gathering critical information to prevent a potential attack on the U.S.

     Corey Pearson receives a special package from Stacie, the CIA mole within the NSA. Inside is the "GhostWire," a cutting-edge surveillance device designed to intercept and decrypt Collins' encrypted communications on his laptop. Stacie assures Corey that GhostWire operates undetectably and can self-destruct if compromised.
