          In the spy thriller Shadow War, CIA spymaster Corey Pearson and Ana, one of his top operatives, track a suspicious man all the way to the spectacular Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas.

     Then things get interesting.

     Their target doesn't check into an ordinary hotel room. He heads straight for the legendary Atlantis Bridge Suite, which goes for an eye-popping $25,000 a night and has held the distinction of being the most expensive hotel suite in the world.

     So where is the money coming from?

The Atlantis Bridge Suite has 10 rooms, including a massive 50-by-25-foot living room with a grand piano, two entertainment centers, and an 800-square-foot balcony.      The Bridge Suite is located high in Atlantis' famous Royal Towers and is sometimes called the Michael Jackson Suite because Jackson often stayed in the 5,000-square-foot luxury accommodation.

     The Royal is the centerpiece of Atlantis, with its two instantly recognizable towers rising above Paradise Island. The penthouse Bridge Suite literally connects those towers.

     While Corey is inside bugging the suite, Ana has another job: she's following their target through Atlantis.

     Even if you're not staying at the resort, you can buy a Day Pass and explore many of Atlantis' attractions. That makes it easy for Ana to disappear among the tourists while keeping her target in sight.

     She follows him past Dolphin Cay, the incredible waterpark, the marine habitat, and the beaches. At one point, Ana watches from a distance through binoculars as the man gets up close and personal with the beautiful Atlantis bottlenose dolphins.

     And Dolphin Cay has quite a story of its own.

     After Hurricane Katrina devastated the Marine Life Oceanarium in Gulfport, Mississippi, in 2005, sixteen dolphins were left stranded. They were rescued, nursed back to health, and eventually given a new home when Dolphin Cay was built at Atlantis.

     Ana's surveillance continues inside the enormous Atlantis Aquarium, which encompasses 14 lagoons containing eight million gallons of ocean water and more than 50,000 aquatic animals representing over 250 marine species.

     Talk about the perfect place for a CIA operative to disappear into a crowd.

Ana blends right in with the tourists wandering through the glass tunnels while sharks, rays, fish, and other marine creatures glide through the water around them.

     Then the target suddenly decides he's done sightseeing.

     He turns around and starts heading back toward the Bridge Suite.

     Corey quickly finishes his work, planting another bug inside the frame of a Charles Cham oil painting worth more than $15,000, and slips out before the target returns.

     So how did this incredible resort come to be?

     South African entrepreneur Sol Kerzner invested $450 million to create the 600-acre Atlantis resort on beautiful Paradise Island. And when it comes to over-the-top luxury, it's hard to beat the Bridge Suite. It's the jewel sitting at the top of the Atlantis crown.

     The suite spans the space between the resort's two main buildings in the 23-story Royal Towers. That's exactly how the Bridge Suite got its name.

     And that's also why Corey and Ana can't ignore what's happening here.

     A middle-class American with a ho-hum job is suddenly staying in the same suite that has hosted people like Michael Jackson, Oprah Winfrey, Celine Dion, Michael Jordan, Bill Gates, and Donald Trump.

     Something doesn't add up.

     Corey and Ana also know that a few unscrupulous Saudi sheiks and at least one corrupt, high-rolling businessman have stayed in the Bridge Suite while trying their luck at the Atlantis Resort's casino, the largest casino in the Caribbean.
